If I told you that you were a unique individual capable of independent thought, would you believe me?

If you want to talk about:

  • What topics you’d like to see blogged about
  • What you would like included in the ebook
  • Your fears and worries about the GAMSAT
  • Why I’m a very bad boy
  • The things the pink unicorn whispers to you when you go to your happy place at night
  • Other feedback and whatnot

Feel free to email me at Will at FastGAMSAT dot com1 !

Or, just fill in the message thing at the bottom of every page (it’s underneath the Comments section).

1. Apparently doing this helps me to get spammed less?

  1. list of khan academy video links for each essential science topic …..so when you explain/mention a topic lets say periodic tables (link that with khan academy video hyperlink) … covalent bonding(explain whatever you have to then stink in a khan academy or any good interesting video) as videos help in retaining the concepts better and make it a lot more interesting.

    1. Hi Sweta! Thank you for your comment and suggestion! I’m sorry I took so long to approve and reply to your comment – I haven’t had my act together for the past few months (which is no excuse, but that’s the reason).

I love your recommended method of explaining a Section 3 concept – then linking the relevant Khan Academy video: It would definitely reinforce the concept that’s being taught, and I would definitely use your method if I do create posts explaining Section 3 topics.

Meanwhile, as mentioned in the blog post, I would use textbooks or Khan Academy to study with – and both of these resources are free and available, and cover the sciences in the level of detail that you need to know.

Again, thank you for the recommendation, and keep up the good work!

  2. Hey Will! I like your style, exactly the guide I think I may be looking for 😸

I’m from a non-science background, currently in Advertising, and am ready to make the jump into Medicine I’ve been in denial about my whole life. My mum is also Asian (Filipino) so, whenever she would tell me to be a doctor I would roll my eyes – classic Asian mums, hey. Realised in the last few years it’s ok to also want the same thing as my parents.. I just needed to realise that it was what I wanted, not just what they wanted 😉

I think I wanted to tell you all that just because of the Asian mums component, haha.

Anyway. Quick question! I notice your guide is for 2015. Will there be an update? I’m going to start studying for GAMSAT 2017 soon so, not sure if I should hold out for an updated version?

    Cheers,
    Grace

    1. Hi Grace! Thanks for your kind words about my style – it’s nice to have style….

It’s a great question you brought up about the year-on-year editions: My guide focuses more on principles of GAMSAT and studying, and gaining the independence to judge resources and study the way that works for you – these things tend to remain just as relevant over time.

So, I would say that it’s fine to get the current version of study guide pack: Any updates that I make would be to do with useful new resources, which you’re welcome to ask me about, as well as for any opinions I may (or may not) have. I’m always here to help*!

*In spirit. May occasionally lead to tangible results.

      1. Thanks for the super fast response, Will!! 😄
Gotcha, will definitely be purchasing a copy now and making the most of the “free” printing at work.

Cheers! I’m sure I’ll be visiting the site every now and then 😊

        1. No worries Grace, hope you enjoy reading the guide*! Let me know if you have any questions or feedback!

*And also learn stuff, but that’s optional.

  3. Hi Will, thank you for your site and all your information. I am a foreign student with Non Science Backgroung. I would ask you something about Khan Academy: when i digit for example: “Biology” i have 2 different sections. Biology library and Biology AP college. Which do you advice to do? and do you advice to do all the program? thank you!

    1. Thanks for your question Luca!

The GAMSAT can draw topics from any topic in Biology – and there are a lot of topics. For Biology for Khan Academy, it looks like the High School level covers a wider range of topics (AP level seems to focus around cell biology).

Also, you mentioned that you don’t have a science background, and AP level Biology might require High School Biology as a prerequisite.

Because of these above two factors, I would suggest studying High School level Biology, and studying General Chemistry + Organic Chemistry + Physics. Then if you still have time, study AP Biology.

      Hope that helps!
